Arts Kete stone carving

Today on the 20th of November 2017 term 4

I drew the spiral on the shape of the koru so i can carve and sand paper it into my koru shape.


After carving the spiral in i start sand papering the spiral so it can look smooth and it doesn't fell rough when i run my hand in the carving.

I start sanding away to make the curve and shape i want.


The curve on the koru was a bit to long so i got my teacher to correct my mistake.

i made a few mistakes on the carving to not make it deep it wasnt deep enough next
time ill be sure to make any last edits.

Last week i started my harakiki stone carving i drew the shape of the harakiki
and then cut lines into the rock and then carved it out and used the sand paper to make it look sharp smooth and slik. 

Next stone carving session i hope to finish my stone so i can move on to the next one

Arts Kete 2017 stone carving

Today i worked on shaping my basic cut out of a koru into a round and a curved shape that will look fantastic and will look good on my mums window.My rock carving still needs alot of curving and shaping but right now i still think it still looks amazing in its own way and i can not wait for Monday so i can work on carving and putting desings into my rock carving i cant wait!

YES:

Yes cats should stay inside cause it is better for everyone they wont find cat poop every where nor will they find cats picking in the gardens or finding them climbing on there roof.

Cats should stay inside cause even thought most of the birds that are being attacked are from over seas they still live in new Zealand and should we should still care for anything and everything that has found a home here.

For the months they can hunt up to more than 400 native and not native animals.

Cats shouldn't stay inside.They are cats they were built for the outside they only 1/3 of the native birds and animals and the other 45% was not native animals like rats rabbits and other animals.
